From the moment I walked into my first coaching course in July 2010, I knew right then and there that this is what I was put on this earth to do. I know this is a huge statement, but I will explain more in a bit. For now, let me tell you… I was relieved! Up until then I had spent my professional life doing what everyone else wanted me to do. Go to school – check. Get good paying and secure job – check. Be happy – che… Hold on!
I wasn’t happy! I woke up and realized that I had settled into a safe and secure life, I was in a rut! I needed to make a change, something to spark me to life. I started small, running and regaining control over my health, a shift in my career, and courses towards personal growth. That’s when I made a major u-turn. I took a chance and signed up for the core courses to become a Co-Active Coach through the Coaches Training Institute.
During the first course, in a matter of two hours, I realised that I am completely passionate about people and coaching, especially women! It was how I was going to kick starting women’s lives & connecting them to their passion so they didn’t have to go through the same things I did. Since that moment I knew that coaching is my way to contribute to this world, it was just a matter of time of when I could make that happen.
In June, 2011 my husband and I re-structured our lives and moved to Calgary, Alberta. With his support I started working full-time at realizing my dream. Every day I work with beautiful women who are ready to kick-start their life and connect with their passion! How blessed am I?
In October, 2011 I will start a new exciting journey. I will be starting the 6 month extensive process of becoming a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach. During this time I hope to learn more about myself as a coach and how I can serve those around me.
So, what else would you like to know about me? Well, in my spare time I enjoy spending time with my loving husband and my beautifully wise dog. I love hiking, camping & backpacking, hot baths & good books, and the satisfaction of a butt-kicking run.
